There are many exceptional business women all over the country as witnessed by the ubiquitous Women in Business Awards that are sprouting up in large cities all across the United States. As a woman small business owner myself, I appreciate the opportunity to network and celebrate with other hard-working, innovative, smart businesswomen. It inspires me. It keeps me motivated and pushing forward. If they can do it, why can’t I? That is why I enjoy attending Women in Business events. It’s an adrenaline rush. And contrary to what others may say, my experience has been that women really do want to help and mentor other woman. Facebook COO, Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In philosophy applies to women as well as men-lean forward, seek guidance, ask professional experts in your line of work, develop a support network. That is what the OCBJ Women In Business Awards is partially about-women supporting women-leaning in to coach, mentor, and encourage other women’s success in the workplace.
This year The Orange County Business Journal is proud to announce their 22nd Annual Women In Business Awards, Wednesday May 4th, at the Hotel Irvine. And Zip2media is proud to announce that our very own Robin King has been nominated as one of the outstanding professional women who will be recognized for their sizable contribution to their organization or profession.
I’m sure all of the nominees are deserving of such an honor however I can only speak about the person I work with everyday (weekends included!). Robin King was recently promoted to Vice-President of Zip2media and will assume a larger role in the company. There’s a reason for that promotion. There’s a reason why Robin is being nominated for OCBJ’s Women In Business Award.
Robin takes a very strategic and systematic approach to managing media campaigns while simultaneously managing client expectations. Zip2Media is an advertising and media buying agency specializing in PPC, SEO, TV, radio, print, digital marketing, outdoor, events and sports sponsorships. Robin manages and negotiates the most cost-effective, targeted advertising campaigns that generate the highest return-on-investment (ROI) for our clients.
In the year that Robin has been with Zip2Media, she has helped to guide and steer the agency towards stronger revenue growth by adding new clients to the company’s roster, setting up new templates and procedures that allow our team to run a more efficient operation. Robin was instrumental in spearheading Zip2Media’s website redesign. As a result of her insight and leadership, Zip2Media is poised for significant growth in 2016 and beyond.
I couldn’t ask for a better partner and friend. Good luck Robin!
